UIUCnet, UIwpa2, and UIpublicWiFi available in Beckman Institute

In cooperation with CITES, ITS has been working to make the UIUCnet, UIpublicWiFi and UIwpa2 wireless networks available inside the Beckman Institute. We are pleased to announce that these wireless services will be available starting Monday, Aug 17th .

Please let the ITS Help Desk know if you have any questions about using these exciting new services. The old BiNet wireless will be retired at that time.

UIUCnet Dialup and UIUCnet Premier Retirement

Effective July 1, 2009, CITES will no longer offer campus the ability to dial in to the campus network.

In order to help current dialup users find a new Internet Service Provider, a list has been compiled of the alternatives available both in the Champaign-Urbana area and nationwide: http://www.cites.illinois.edu/network/choosing/
